Independent mobile game studio

Bright little games, built to be tapped.

An independent studio making puzzle games for Android. We would rather publish few and finish them than publish many and move on.

The studio

Small on purpose

Pixel Fresh Studio is an independent mobile game studio. We publish a small number of puzzle games and keep working on them after they ship.

One thing at a time

The studio is small. It works on one game until that game is finished, and a puzzle game is finished when every one of its puzzles has been drawn by hand and checked — which is not something anyone does to six games at once, so we did not try.

Puzzles you can put down

There is no energy meter counting down while you are not playing and no streak that punishes you for a day off. A game is finished when you close it, and it is exactly where you left it when you come back.

Made to be looked at

Puzzles here are drawn, not generated into a rectangle. A tulip, a fox, a swan, an owl. Solving one is satisfying; watching the picture appear underneath it is the part people write to us about.

How we work

Three things we will not trade away

True of everything we publish, and meant to stay true of whatever we publish next.

Nothing between you and the game

No advertisement plays between one level and the next, and nothing interrupts you while you are thinking. Where there is an ad at all it is one you chose to watch, in exchange for something you wanted.

No account, no sign-up

You open the app and you play. Progress is kept on your device. Signing in is optional and does one thing — it lets your progress survive a new phone.

Works with the connection off

A game you have downloaded should be a game you can play on a plane. Everything needed to play ships inside the download.

Our portfolio

Our game

One published title so far. Everything about it is right here — including five levels you can play in this browser.

  • An Arrow Doodle board mid-move: a tapped arrow slides off a cream paper grid while the rest of the tulip maze stays in place.
  • A fox emerging as the arrows clear from an Arrow Doodle level.
  • Twelve Arrow Doodle level silhouettes — a cat, an owl, a turtle and more — drawn from real level data.
  • A blocked arrow in Arrow Doodle, zoomed in, with the arrow standing in its exit lane highlighted.
  • An Arrow Doodle owl level with the heads-up display visible and no countdown.
  • The same Arrow Doodle cat level shown side by side in the Day and Night themes.
  • Arrow Doodle's optional rescue screen, offering a rewarded video the player can decline.
  • Arrow Doodle's win screen on a completed turtle level, showing three stars.
The Arrow Doodle app icon: a red and a green arrow turning a corner.

Arrow Doodle

Puzzle

Clear the arrows. See the picture.

Every maze is also a drawing. Clear the arrows and the picture is what you were looking at the whole time — a circle, a heart, an apple, a house, a flower. One thousand of them, and no shape is used twice.
